About this course
The Fascial Movement Foundation course will help you deepen your understanding of the neuromyofascial system – one of the most important connective tissues in the body that has a huge impact on the way we move. It supports muscles and organs and encourages functional movement, helping to improve sports performance and the recovery process.
The course includes both theoretical and practical elements and covers a variety of topics, including biomechanics in relation to fascia and introduces you to the key fascial movement variables – Bounce, Sense, Expand, and Hydrate – which you can apply to your own Pilates practice and teachings.

- How to develop programmes that integrate specific fascial movement variables
- Gain a strong understanding of the myofascial system and how the fascia is closely connected exercise performance and rehabilitation
- Incorporate the fascial movement variables into your Pilates teachings
- Add the term “trained in Merrithew Fascial Movement” to your existing Pilates qualifications
- The Fascial Movement Foundation course is intended for learners who already have a solid understanding of functional anatomy and biomechanics.
